Recorded on the Eighth day of February in the Year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred thirteen.
A copy of the Last Will & Testament of Jonathan Grunman deceased, with the proof thereof Recorded 8 Feb 1813.
In the Name of God Amen, I Jonathan Grunman of Stephentown in the County of Rensselaer and State of New York, being weak in body but of sound & perfect memory and mind blessed by Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (this is to say) first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife
Polly Grunman all the household furniture which she brought when she came to live with me, likewise one horse and (?) hogs and four cows, the same she brought with her, together with her right of Dower in my Real Estate. I also give and bequeath unto my Daughter Lydian Crandall One Hundred Dollars to be paid by my Executors when my Real Estate is sold. Further as to all the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate both Real and personal goods and chattels of what kind and nature so ever I hereby order to be sold by my Executors and the amount thereof after paying all my just debts, to be equally divided among my three sons (to wit,) Samuel Grunman, Gardner Grunman, and Jonathan Grunman Jr. which said legacies I hereby order to be paid to my sons, Samuel Grunman and Gardner Grunman, within one year after the sale of my Estate, and the share which may fall to my youngest son Jonathan Grunman Jr. I hereby order my Executors to pay him when he shall arrive to the age of twenty-one years. And lastly I do hereby appoint my Brother James Grunman and my Son Gardner Grunman Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twentieth day of January in the Year of our Lord one Thousand eight Hundred and thirteen.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Jonathan Grunman to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presence of Testator. The words four wrote on an erasure in the sixth line from the top and the word further in the ninth made before Executed.

Rensselaer County. Be it remembered, that on the twenty-eighth day of January in the Year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and thirteen, personally appeared before me Alanson (?) Douglas, Esquire, Surrogate of the said county of Rensselaer. Joseph O. Gardner, one of the subscribing Witnesses to the Will of Jonathan Grunman, late of the Town of Stephentown, in the said county, deceased, who being duly sworn, declared that he did see the said Jonathan Grunman Seal and Execute the annexed written instrument purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the said Jonathan Grunman bearing date the twentieth day of January in the Year of our Lord one Thousand and eight Hundred and thirteen and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament, that at the time thereof he the said Jonathan Grunman was of sound disposing mind and memory, to the best of the knowledge and belief of the said Joseph O. Gardner and that he the said Joseph O. Gardner together with Henry Platt and Benjamin Carpenter the other witnesses to the said Will, severally subscribed their hands and names to the said Will, as Witnesses thereto, in the presences of the Testator and of each other.
