Information on this page was obtained from Rensselaer Co., NY Surrogate Court, Probate File 984 (also recorded in Will Book 238, page 57), and was submitted by the late Lin Van Buren.

I Emma E. Traver of the Town of East Greenbush County of Rensselaer and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say:

First, I direct that all my lawful debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as possible

Second, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughters, Minnie E. Pockman and Jennie A. Van Buren all my property both real and personal share and share alike.

Lastly, I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my beloved daughters Minnie E. Pockman and Jennie A. Van Buren Executrices of this my last Will and Testament given unto my said Executrices full power to sell and convey my real estate, hereby revoking all former wills by me made

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this twenty seventh day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

The above instrument, consisting of one sheet, was at the date thereof subscribed by Emma E. Traver in the presence of us and each of us: she at the time of making such subscription, acknowledged that she made the same and declared the said instrument so subscribed by her to be her last Will and Testament. Whereupon we then and there, at her request, and in her presence and the presence of each other, subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the day of the date hereof, the last Will and Testament of Emma E. Traver late of the Town of E. Greenbush deceased, (being the annexed instrument), was duly proved before WILLIS E. HEATON, Surrogate of the Said County according to law, as and for the last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of said deceased, which said last Will and Testament and the proofs and examination taken thereon are recorded in this Office, Book of Records No. 238 at Pages 57, etc.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the Seal of the Surrogate's Court of Rensselaer County this 3rd day of March, 1909.

Minnie A. Pockman and Jennie A. Van Buren being duly sworn, says: They are the petitioner herein. That the above named decedent died at the Town of East Greenbush, N. Y., on the 21st day of May 1902. That said decedent had no real property in the State of New York. . . . . That the following is a full and correct list of the names, residences and relationship to decedent of all persons who are entitled to a legacy or devise under the will of said decedent, or by reason of partial intestacy, together with the character and value of such legacy or devise as far as the same can at present be determined.

The undersigned Augustus D. Traver surviving husband of the said deceased hereby waive the issue and service of the usual citation required by law in this matter, and I do hereby consent that the Last Will and Testament of the said Emma E. Traver late of the town of East Greenbush deceased, may be proved and admitted to probate, before and by the Surrogate's Court of Rensselaer County, at the City of Troy, in the State of New York, without further notice, whenever offered for that purpose.
