A copy of the last Will & Testament of Laurence RYSDORPH deceased and the proof thereof Recorded 11 Feby 1813.

to the said farm excepting another wagon which I give to my son Johannes after my wifes decease. In consideration of which I devise to my son Leonard I do well and direct that he shall pay the sum of one hundred pounds to my son Johannes, my daughter Margaret VAN ALYSTINE, Ann VALKENBURGH & Luca BLOOMONDAL & to my grandchildren Mary and Dorothy WEDERWAX,& Laurence P Mary Ann WITBECK and so the survivors of them that is to say so each of them the one sixth part of the land from except my said Grand Children who shall have each one twelfth part thereof and said land to be paid as follows that is to say one half thereof three years after my wife decease and the other half in six years after he decease. After my wifes decease I give and bequeath all the residue of my funeral estate to my aforesaid children sons and daughters and grand children aforesaid that is to say to each of them and the survivors of them the one twelfth part thereof except my said Grand Children who shall have each of them one fourteen part thereof. VI I do Will and direct at the discretion of my wife and not otherwise my son Leonard my culttivate and improve my said farm and order and pay to my said wife annually the one third part of the income and produce thereof and to pay to the landlord the two third parts of the rent thereof annually and she the other one third part thereof VII I do Will and devise that all my debts and funeral expenses an also the funeral expenses of my wife {?} by my residuary legates {?} of my personal estate. VIII I do nominate and appoint my sons Johannes & Leonard my executors. Witness my hand and seal this 12th Oct. 1792
In the name of God amen I Laurence RYSDORPH do make this my last Will and testament as following. 1st I commit my soul to God trusting in pardon of my past sins and eternal happiness through the merits of Jesus Christ. I give and devise to my beloved wife Margaret all my estate real and personal for and during her natural life. I give and devise to my son Leonard and to his heirs forever after my wifes decease all my farm lands & tenements containing two hundred and eighty five acres now in my posession use & occupation together with my new wagon and all other my tools and utensils of husbandry belonging & appertaining

Bio: He married Anna Margaretha SARENBURGER abt 1744. I show 7 known children for this couple: Catharina b: 1745 d:1820 m. Andreas Weatherwax (1737-1824). Both buried in the Weatherwax family cemetery on Binck Farm Road in E. Greenbush NY.; Anna Margaretha b: 25 Apr 1747 m. Vincent VAN ALYSTINE; Johannes b:15 Oct 1750 m. Catharina?; Elisabetha b: 29 May 1753 m. Thomas WITBECK; Anna b: Nov 1755 m. John P. VAN VALKENBURG; Leonard b: 25 Jan 1759 m. ?; Magdalena b: 28 Jun 1762 m. Mr. BLOOMENDAL.
Obviously there could have been more children born who did not survive, but I have no data on them."
