In the name of God Amen, I Alexander Teelin of the Town of Greenbush in the County of Rensselaer and State of New York, Yeoman, being in a declining state of health, but of sound and perfect mind and memory thank the Almighty God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this life, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, manner and form following, that is, to say, Principally and first of all, I recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after named, and as touching my worldly estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life,
First, I will, order and direct that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid in due season.
Secondly, I give and devise to my beloved wife Susannah all my real and personal estate for and during the time she remains my widow, and no longer, and after she marries or dies my widow, then I will and bequeath to my Grandson Alexander W. Teelin the sum of Fifty dollars, that is after my decease and my wife Susannah shall no more be my widow.
Secondly, I also will and bequeath unto my sons John, William, Charels and Alexander and daughters Eleanor, Margaret, and Alida all the remaining part of my personal and real estate to be equally divided among my said sons and daughters, share and share alike.
Thirdly, I do also will and ordain that my son Charles Teelin be exonerated from the payment of a note which I hold against him.
I do make, ordain and appoint my friend Charles Earing, my friend Henry J. Traver and my wife Susannah my Executors of this my last Will and Testament, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the second day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
