Adam migrated west to CA ca1855 to Mariposa Co., was a merchant to the gold miners of that area. Would be interesting to find info. on how he arrived there - overland? or by ship? YOUNGHANS, Michael. Seeking children of Michael YOUNGHANS on 1820 Rensselaer Co. census. I am looking for the parents of Edward L. Younghanse, b. abt 1814 in NY. He came to AL in early 1840s. Michael has a male in my age category of interest in 1820. There were many corrupted "anglicized" spellings of the Germanic name. YOUNGHAUS, Peter M. Seeking information on Peter M. YOUNGHAUS, who shared joint ownership of a cemetery plot at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY, with Frank B. BARNFATHER. There are several members of each family buried in the plot and I am trying to determine the relationship between the two families. The cemetery plot was purchased in 1892.
