NORTON. I am trying to obtain information about my ancestor Dr. Jonathan NORTON. In the 1830 census Johathan was in Rensselaer County with his wife and four daughters. Johathan was born 1790-1800 (probably 12/17/1798), possibly in Pittstown. His wife, I believe Ann, was born 1800-1810, and two daughters (Ester and Elizabeth) were born 1820-1825, and two daughters (Harriet and Mary Ann) were born 1825-1830. The family name HOAG is also connected. Jonathan moved to MI abt 1840 and died there in 1844 (probably 3/18/1844) in Parma, Jackson Co., MI. Jonathan's father may have also been a doctor.
