HAMMOND, BUTLER. Seeking information about William HAMMOND who married Margaret BUTLER in Tipperary County, Ireland abt. 1840. They had seven children: twins Richard and Hester, Anne, William, Mary, Ellen and Catherine. About 1863 Margaret and four of the children (Richard, Hester, Anne and William) emigrated to Troy, NY. The fate of the husband and the other children is unknown. Margaret died before 1870 leaving the children to fend for themselves. Richard, who is my great-great grandfather, married Johanna MAHER, also an Irish immigrant, abt. 1870 and they, along with brother William, moved to Franklin, PA, and later on to Buffalo, NY. HANSON, CASEY. Michael Hanson (sometimes mis-spelled Henson) came from County West Meath Ireland circa late 1830"s early 1840's. From Nova Scotia disembarkment they went to Troy, NY before moving on westward. I am looking for anyone in the area researching any Hanson's in the Troy area. Michael was married to Catherine CASEY who died enroute to America. Allied surnames: O'NEIL, KILDUFF. There is one other Hanson listed in early Troy records. HARDY, DOWD. William. Seeking information about William HARDY (not to be confused with Wm R. Hardy) b. Stephentown, Rensselaer Co, NY. He was m. by 1809 in Burlington, Otsego, NY. He and wife Esther Dowd settled in Unadilla, Otsego, NY; later moved to Broome Co. In 1814, Esther died. He married again, name unknown and they moved to Chemung Co; she died there. Then he moved to Chicago, and died there. No Wm Hardy in 1790 census, Ren. Co. a brick house and brick barn near Lake Ave and two cemeteries - St. Jean Baptiste
Cemetery and St. Mary's Cemetery of Troy, both at 54 Brunswick Rd., Brunswick.

HARRISON, Daniel N. Seeking information about the family of Daniel N. HARRISON
b. abt 1819 and Thirsy G. (maiden name unknown) b. abt 1826 in NH. They lived in 1850
on a farm in Stephentown with 2 sons, George S. (b about 1844) and Samuel D.
(b about 1848). Daniel N. died Jan 5, 1853 and is buried in a cemetery on
Stephentown-Lebanon Road. Thirsy still lived on the farm with her sons in 1860.
Samuel D. m Isora/Ida Jones, lived in Massachusetts; in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer County,
NY; and in Waterford, Saratoga County, NY. I am seeking information on any of the
above, parents of Daniel N. and Thirsy G., spouse of George S., parents of Ida
Jones (John Jones and Roselly [--?--]).

HARRISON, Edward Leay. Seeking information about my grandfather Edward Leay HARRISON b. abt 1870 in Greenbush, NY (son of George HARRISON Sarah MC DONALD). Edward is my grandfather, and am trying to find out about him, for he left my father and my grandmother when my father was only 3 years old in 1895 in New York City. Family rumor had it that he remarried again in 1901 in New York, to a girl of Irish descent. I have found in a cemetery index the names of three Harrisons, and am hoping someone out there knows who they were. They were: Daniel N. Harrison d. 5 January 1853, Age 33; Jared Harrison, d. 8 February 1839, Age 56; Phebe J. Shout (wife of William Harrison) d. 21 October 1849, Age35. HENDERSON, QUITTERFIELD. Seeking information on James HENDERSON, who moved to
the eastern part of the town of Poestenkill in 1837. He was engaged in the
lumbering business. In 1850 he settled in Wynantskill, town of North Greenbush and
engaged in lumbering and farming. He was the first Supervisor of the town of Poestenkill
in 1848-49 and had been a highway commissioner in this town. He was a member of the
Methodist Episcopal Church at Albia and a trustee of the church. He was married to
Margaret QUITTERFIELD in 1830 in Fort Edward and had 10 children, including

town of Watervliet. At the time of the census they resided in
Enumeration District No. 57. By abt 1895 William was deceased, and
Amanda had moved to Buffalo, Erie County, NY and had re-married to George KING.
At this point son William was no longer listed as living with his mother,
and I have no information at all about Lavinia.
