FALLON, BARRETT. I am researching the families of Michaael FALLON and Bridget BARRETT, whose son Malachi was born in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer County, NY 6 Nov 1851. The family was Roman Catholic. Older siblings are Michael and Ellen; younger are Mary, Patrick Laurence, Matthew, John, Honora (Eleanora) and Margaret b 1866. I have never been able to find this family in a census before 1880, when they are in OH. As they are railroad related, they may have been on the move, but there should be census records in NY from 1850, and records of baptisms. WALSH, DWYER, MAHAR and DOWD are related families who I believe were in the area c1850-65, but I have not found them, either. In particular, the family of Anthony DWYER, wife Margaret MAHAR, with daughter Bridget, 1850, and Michael WALSH, with son Richard who married Bridget DWYER. FLANSBURG, WHIPPLE. Seeking information about the family of Alice Isabell FLANSBURG b. 7/4/1855 near Albany, NY, m. 1776 to Charles A. WHIPPLE b. 4/9/1854 in Albany, NY. Seeking Alice and Charles's birthplaces and their parents' birthplaces and marriage information. Alice's parents are William FLANSBURG and Mary FOLKETT b. in NY. Charles's parents are Russell William WHIPPLE and Mary ALLEN b. in NY. He had a sister, Lillie YORK, of Medford, OR, who survived him at his death in 1937. This information came from the birth certificate of Charles and Alice's son Arthur, born 1886 in Galesburg, Knox County, IL, and from Alice and Charles's death-registry entries, death certificates and obits. Obits for both Alice and Charles say they both moved to IL in 1856; however, no census information can be found for Whipple in Knox Co. or surrounding counties in IL. The Flansburgs show on 1860 census in Knox Co. but never again. Alice and Charles and their children Walter, Daisy, Leonard, Arthur, Otho, and John moved to MN in 1897. Alice died there in 1918, and Charles died there in 1937. In the 1860 census listing all as being born in NY, the Flansburgs are listed as William age 46, Mary age 40, Ester age 18, John age 16, Francis age 14, Arthur age 12, Lydia age 9, Mary J. age 7 and Alice Isabella age 4. Appreciate any scrap of information that can be found, since all these folks cannot be found on any census following 1860, or death or marriage registry in IL, MN or IA. FOSTER. I have found the name of my great-grandfather in the 1900 census. His father is listed as living with him. I am searching for my great-great-grandmother's name and any brothers my great-great-grandfather had and the maiden name of my great-grandmother. FOSTER, DEWEY. Seeking any information on my husband's grandparents, Jerry W. FOSTER and Anna May DEWEY. Jerry's name could be short for another name. I'm not sure.
