ALLEN, Ezra. I have a Samuel ALLEN b. abt 1755-1759, who named his first son Ezra, b. 1787. I noticed from census records that this Ezra ALLEN also had a son Samuel. I have been unable to go any further back with this family line, and I was hoping someone might have more information on the Ezra ALLEN of Stephentown. C. H. MacCormack krel@mhonline.net 1298

ALLEN, PETERSON. Seeking information about g-g-grandmother of different names. She's listed as Sarah ALLEN on her son's marriage license; as Sarah A. Allen per American Ancestry; as Sarah A. Forrest per headstone/family Bible; as Sarah Deforat per Biographical Review (says she's from Albany). Sarah was b. abt 1852 m. 21 June 1873 in Troy to George Washington PETERSON (2nd marriage?). The 1860 Albany census lists Sarah A. Allen 9 with parents William A. & Rowena. There's no Sarah Forrest/DeForrest/Deforat in the 1860 Albany census. I am trying to ascertain whether a Sarah A. Allen married a DeForest (or variation of surname) prior to 1873 in or around Albany, NY. Erica 0797 [the e-mail address given in July 1997 is no longer valid in March 2003]
