Florence REYNOLDS was born in November 1880, probably in Petersburgh, Rensselaer County, NY. She was brought up, along with her younger brother Noel A. REYNOLDS, by her widowed mother, Emma J. REYNOLDS (1849-1930), in Petersburgh. Florence was a schoolteacher. In about 1917, she married James W. WYLIE, a toolmaker from Massachusetts. They lived in Albany, Albany County, NY in 1920 and resided in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MA in 1930. Kathy has found an undated obituary from an unidentified newspaper for Florence, which is transcribed below.
Of the first photograph, Kathy asks, "Does anyone know anything about any of these women or what brought them together for this picture?" She adds, "I did not deface this lovely photo with the numbers; they were there already."
The second photograph is of a cutting from the 3 July 1901 edition of The Democrat newspaper of Hoosick Falls, Rensselaer County, NY. You can read the caption in the image itself, but Kathy also kindly transcribed it, below, so that search engines can find the names in it.

The annual commencement exercises of the High School, held at the

The Misses Reynolds and Simpson intend to teach school next year.
Members of the High School and the class, to the number of 28, spent Friday at

school hall Wednesday evening, were an auspicious event, both for the
large class and for the excellent record made by every student. Every
seat in the auditorium was taken, and standing room was considered a
luxury. The program rendered was as follows:

Union University, was a masterly effort conducive of good to both class
and audience. Every participant in the program presented well written and
well declaimed efforts, creditable to themselves and to their Alma Mater.
Samuel W. Gage of Eagle Bridge also graduated. A pleasant feature was the
presentation of a 96-count classical diploma to Victor Caryl Myers of Buskirks,
an honor not too often won. Mr. Myers graduated last year. This is the first
diploma gained by a Hoosick Falls scholar.
Hedge's Lake. The chaperone was Miss Grace E. Beals. A very enjoyable time was
experienced. The Democrat is fortunate in being able to present today a group
photograph of the class. After the exercises a reception was held. Refreshments
were served, and dancing was enjoyed.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Florence Reynolds Wylie of Petersburg [sic] died yesterday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a long illness. She was the wife of the late James W. Wylie. Mrs. Wylie was a member of Petersburg Baptist Curch and a member of the Dorcas Society of the church. She was also a member of Berskshire [sic] Star Chapter, OES [Order of the Eastern Star] and the Petersburg Home Bureau for over 25 years. She graduated from the Hoosick Falls High School in the class of 1901. She was a graduate of Cortland Normal School, Cortland [Cortland County, NY]. Mrs. Wylie taught at schools in Berlin, Petersburg, Stephentown and Port Jefferson [Suffolk County, NY, on Long Island] prior to her marriage. Survivors include one brother, Noel Reynolds, and one cousin, Mrs. Elmer Burdick of Petersburgh. Funeral will be from the residence Saturday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in the Cemetery of the Evergreens, New Lebanon [Columbia County, NY].
