Troy, NY

A photocopy of this photograph was kindly contributed by Dawn Burges.

The contributor writes, "Joseph DUSENBURY was born 4-7-1798 in Brunswick[Rensselaer County, NY], a son of Moses DUSENBURY and an unknown mother. Joseph DUSENBURY married Catrina MILLER. They had a son, Moses, born in 1821, who married Rachel CAREY. Of this marriage, Catherine DUSENBURY was born; she was my husband's grandmother. The house still stands today, with a few differences on the front porch and an addition on the side. Joseph, Moses, and Catherine are all buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Troy." The photograph was taken in the early 1900s. The house, located on North Lake Avenue in Troy, was part of the Underground Railroad.
