Nathan J. Johnson. 39 years old. Enlisted on 11/3/1861 at Granville, NY as a captain. On 12/11/1861 he was commissioned into "I" Co. NY 93rd Infantry. He was discharged for promotion on 4/13/1864. On 4/15/1864 he was commissioned into Field & Staff NY 115th Infantry. He was mustered out on 6/17/1865 at Raleigh, NC. He was listed as wounded 8/18/1864 Deep Bottom Run, VA; wounded 10/1/1864 Chaffin's Farm, VA; wounded 1/15/1865 Fort Fisher, NC. Promotions: Lieut. Colonel 4/15/1864 (as of 115th NY Inf.); Colonel 3/13/1865 by Brevet; Colonel 4/29/1865. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.
