John W. Godden. 21 years old. Enlisted on 11/1/1861 at Albany, NY as a Private. On 12/9/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 93rd Infantry. He re-enlisted on 12/25/1863. He was mustered out on 6/29/1865 at Washington, DC. Promotions: 2nd Lieut. 5/6/1864 (as of Co. H); Sergt. 6/25/1864; 1st Lieut. 11/7/1864; Capt. 1/14/1865.
