George Smith. 22 years old. Enlisted 11/20/1861 at Bolton, NY to serve three years. Mustered in as private Co. H [93rd NY Infantry] 12/5/1861. Promoted sergeant 1/26/1862. Transferred to Co. F [no date noted]. Re-enlisted as a veteran 12/18/1863. Transferred to Co. H 2/1/1864. Killed in action 5/6/1864 at Wilderness, VA. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.
