Joseph Smith. 19 years old. Enlisted on 8/26/1862 at Sand Lake, NY as a private. On 10/6/1862 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 169th Infantry. He was mustered out on 7/19/1865 at Raleigh, NC. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.
