Alonzo Alden. 26 years old. Enlisted 5/14/1861 at Troy, NY as a 2nd Lieutenant. On 6/1/1861 he was commissioned into "I" Co., NY 30th Infantry. He was discharged for promotion on 10/5/1862. On 11/10/1862 he was commissioned into Field & Staff, NY 169th Infantry. He was mustered out on 7/19/1865 at Raleigh, NC. He was listed as wounded 6/1/1864 Cold Harbor, VA. Promotions: 1st Lieut 5/28/1862 (1st Lieut & Adjutant); Major 10/5/1862 (as of 169th NY Inf.); Lieut. Colonel 2/13/1864; Colonel 6/1/1864; Brig-General 1/15/1865 by Brevet.
