Charles D. Merrill. 26 years old. Enlisted on 8/27/1862 at Lansingburg, NY as a 1st sergeant. On 10/6/1862 he mustered into "K" Co. NY 169th Infantry. He was discharged for disability on 3/21/1865. He was listed as wounded 1/16/1865 Fort Fisher, NC. Promotions: 2nd Lieut. 1/21/1863; 1st Lieut. 5/24/1864; Capt 11/2/1864. Intra Regimental Company Transfers: 2/19/1863 from company K to company G; 8/9/1864 from company G to company A; 11/28/1864 from company A to company D.
