Walter K. Newcomb. 22 years old. Enlisted on 8/19/1862 at Troy, NY as a 1st lieutenant. On 9/10/1862 he was commissioned into "G" Co. NY 125th Infantry. He died of disease on 8/9/1863 at Washington, DC (died of dysentery). He was listed as POW 9/15/1862 at Harper's Ferry, VA. Paroled 9/16/1862 at Harper's Ferry, VA. Promotions: Capt. 3/17/1863 (as of Co. B). Intra Regimental Company Transfers: 6/2/1863 from company G to company B. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.
