RADTKE, Clara E. - Rensselaer - Clara E. Radtke age 82 years of Partition Street died suddenly Thursday, March 27, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of the city of Rensselaer and was employed by Trustco Bank for many years. She was a member of the Christian Science Church in Albany and enjoyed vacationing in Maine. Miss Radtke was very supportive of organizations for the help of people. Daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Vogel Radtke; sister of Winifred Radtke of Catskill. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Thursday morning at 9:00. All are welcome to attend. There will be no evening calling hours. RADZ, Don W. - RENSSELAER - Don W. RADZ, of Partridge Hill Apartments in Rensselaer, a longtime resident of the Averill Park area, passed into eternal rest at home, on February 4, 2007. The son of Harold "Pappy" Radz and Pauline Cook Radz, he was born and raised in Wynantskill. He was, from his youth, an avid outdoorsman and passed his love of the outdoors on to his children and grandchildren. He also had a great love of sports, especially golf, bowling, hunting, fishing and basketball. He graduated from Siena College with a bachelor's degree, then SUNY Albany with his master's in education. Don went on to teach 6th grade science and health for 25 years in the Averill Park School District, where his dedication as a teacher touched many lives. Don was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) in Loudonville and had a great faith in the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clare Leavenworth Radz; two sons, Jeffrey S. Radz and Mark P. Radz of Poestenkill; two daughters, Donna M. Radz of Schodack and Linda S. Herring (Mike) of Plattsburg. He is also survived by seven grandsons, two granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Gummer; and his brother, Harold P. Radz Jr. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew him and loved him. A very special thank you to the wonderful people of Hospice for their caring and support. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at 411 Loudon Rd. RADZ, Jeffrey S. - Jeffrey S. Radz - POESTENKILL - Jeffrey S. RADZ, 51, of James Street, died suddenly on Monday, June 9, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after being stricken at his residence. Born in Troy, Jeff was a son of Clare Leavenworth Radz of Rensselaer and the late Donald W. Radz. Jeff was a lifelong resident of the area and was a 1976 graduate of the Averill Park High School and was a graduate of SUNY Oswego, where he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial arts. Jeff had worked for Visilox, now St. Gobain, in Poestenkill for 16 years, where he had been a supervisor. Most recently, he had worked for Poestenkill Auto Supply, where he was a delivery driver. Jeff was an avid woodsman-outdoorsman and was a member of the Adirondack Sportsmen's Club and the Dater Hill Sports Group. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sisters, Linda S. (Mike) Herring of Plattsburgh and Donna M. Radz of Wynantskill; a brother, Mark P. Radz of Troy; nine nieces and nephews; six grandnieces and [grand]nephews; one aunt and uncle; and several cousins. Funeral service Friday 1 p. m. at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park. WALDRON). - Waldron, Gertrude Mae - COHOES - Gertrude Mae WALDRON, 87, entered into rest Friday, October 1, 2004 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a brief illness. She was born [4 August 1917] and educated in Cohoes and was a daughter of the late Roy and Helen CARRIER REEVE. She was a homemaker, a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Cohoes and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Wife of the late George H. WALDRON, she was a wonderful mother to her seven sons, Rev. Roger WALDRON and his wife Rev. Deborah of Nicholville, N. Y.; George WALDRON and his wife Jeannine of Felton, Calif.; Bill WALDRON and his wife Betsey of Gloversville, N. Y.; Charles WALDRON and his wife Beth of Wells, N. Y.; Roy WALDRON and his wife Vicki of Rome, N. Y.; Brian WALDRON and his wife Beverly of Norwich, Conn.; and Gary WALDRON and his wife Diane of Poestenkill, N. Y. Gertrude was a loving grandmother to 30 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece and nephews, Mary Lou GARDNER, Dewey GARDNER and Joshua CAMPBELL. Predeceased by one grandson, Christopher WALDRON, and by his sister, Marjorie GARDNER. Born [30 June 1914] in Boston, MA, she was daughter of the late Frank and Florence GLEASON HOOTON and wife of the late William F. REILLY. She was born, raised and educated in Boston and had resided in Troy since 1951. Mrs. Reilly was a homemaker. She was a member of the Women's Club of St. Francis de Sales Church, a Camp Fire Girls leader and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Survivors include three daughters: Carole LESSON and husband, Ernest LESSON, of Schaghticoke; Suzanne CRAVER and husband, William CRAVER, of Troy; and Lorraine RILEY of Troy. [The decedent was also a] grandmother of E. RIFENBURGH, Gloria Jean TULLOCH DARROW. - Gloria Jean Darrow - JOHNSONVILLE - Gloria Jean (TULLOCH) DARROW, 69, former longtime resident of Schaghticoke, passed away on her birthday, Friday, July 21, 2006, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born [21 July 1937] in Schaghticoke, daughter of the late Edgar A. and Emma LESSON TULLOCH Jr., she attended Hoosic Valley Schools, later earned her GED, and also attended Russell Sage College, to become a home health aide. She worked at Swan Knit of Cohoes for many years and was a member and shop steward for the ILGWUE [sic - ILGWU, the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union?], until the factory closed. Then she worked as a home health aide for a number of years. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Schaghticoke, the Melrose Fire Department and Schaghticoke Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary, the Hoosic Valley Rescue Squad since 1990, and the Schaghticoke American Legion Auxiliary. Gloria was a member of the Dutch Settlers' Society of Albany, NY and was a descendant of Phillipe DUTRIEUX and Jacob Jan SCHERMERHORN, who were some of the first settlers of Manhattan from 1620-22. Survivors include her beloved sisters, Marylou LESSARD of Hoosick Falls, Patricia BOOTH of Mechanicville, Ann WHINNERY of Saratoga Springs, and Doris JONES of Guilderland; her adored granddaughter, Anastasia M. THRANE; her son-in-law, Michael THRANE, both of Stillwater; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gloria was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie THRANE; her husband Warren RIFENBURGH; a sister, Nancy WOELFERSHEIM; and brothers, Peter TULLOCH, Gene TULLOCH and Edgar J. TULLOCH. She was 54. Born [1 July 1933] in Schaghticoke, she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School in Schaghticoke. Mrs. Rifenburgh was employed as a disability claims examiner for the State Department of Social Services. She was a member of the Civil Service Employees' Association. Survivors include three sons, Frank STOCKWICZ of West Sand Lake, Paul STOCKWICZ of South Cambridge, and Charles RIFENBURGH, Jr. of Valley Falls; five daughters, Darlene GREENHOUSE of Slingerlands, Denise MAURER of Cohoes, Cynthia FRENCH of Largo, Fla., Marian FRISINO of Valley Falls, and Joelle WALDRON of Schaghticoke; a brother, Ernest V. [Emily] RILEY of 1814 6th Ave., Watervliet, a native of Troy and retired secretary for the Commissioner of Mental Hygiene of New York State, died Thursday night at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a brief illness. The former Emily M. BURNS, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna MCDONALD BURNS. Mrs. Riley was educated at St. Joseph's Academy, Troy, and graduated from Mildred Elly Secretarial School, Albany. She had been employed as a secretary for may years and retired in 1960. Mrs. Riley was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Watervliet, and a member of its Rosary Society. Survivors include her husband, William M. RILEY; three daughters, Mrs. Richard KRUG of Hammondsport, Mrs. Edward SHARPE of Scotia and Mrs. Richard RENCH of East Greenbush; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 9 a. m. from Parker Brothers Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, and at 9:30 a. m. from St. Patrick's Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be offered. RIVERS, Leona M. Vogel. - Troy - Leona M. Vogel Rivers, 69, died suddenly at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna McMillan Vogel. She received her education in the Troy public school system. Mrs. Rivers was currently employed as a secretary/clerk for the Rensselaer County Unified Services. Survivors include four sisters, Margaret Cleary Forte and Anna Mae Kehl, both of Rensselaer, Mary Fonda of Clifton Park, and Martha Mooney of Troy; three brothers, John Vogel of Conn., Robert Vogel of Troy and Fredrick Vogel of Cohoes. ROCKWELL, Louise R. (Mrs. Irving C. BUTTON) - Louise R. (ROCKWELL) BUTTON, 96, of Kendallville [Noble County, IN], died Friday, March 27, 2009 in Shepherd of the Hill, Kendallville. Mrs. Button attended Pelham Memorial High School in New York. She was a graduate of Syracuse University in 1933 and Columbia University. She was an English teacher in Schaghticoke, [Rensselaer County] New York. Upon moving to Kendallville in 1958, she was an English teacher for the East Noble School Corporation at the Avilla Middle School for 14 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kendallville, where she served as an elder, deacon and president of the women's association. She was also a member of the Calvin Circle, Alpha Phi sorority at Syracuse University, Eta Phi Epsilon, the Noble County Retired Teachers' Association, the Kendallville Day Care Board and local bridge clubs. She was born September 20, 1912, in Meriden, Connecticut, to Charles F. ROCKWELL and Ada COE. On August 28, 1939, in New Rochelle, [Westchester County] New York, she married Irving C. BUTTON. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1996. Surviving are a son, David R. BUTTON of Kendallville; a niece, Sally WADE of Santa Monica, California; caregivers Lois Strunk, Wanda Amburgey, Robin Wylie, and Jackie Rowlison; and special friends of the family Robert and Dorothy Sorensen of Kendallville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William F. COE [sic - William F. ROCKWELL] and Thomas B. COE [sic - Thomas B. ROCKWELL]. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at 2 p. m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Stan Kessler officiating. ROCKWOOD, Lewis G. OBITUARY - Lewis G. Rockwood - Lewis G. Rockwood, one of the most prominent members of the Odd Fellows' fraternity in this section, died yesterday [28 March 1919] at the Odd Fellows' home at Stuyvesant [Columbia Co., NY], where he had been for the past two years. Mr. Rockwood was born in this city [Troy, Rensselaer Co., NY] July 4, 1841 and for nearly fifty years had been employed at the Troy Orphan aslam [sic - Asylum]. He was a member of Trojan lodge No. 27 I. O. O. F. of Troy Encampment; No. 3, Troy Union; Rebekah lodge No. 50; and of Canton Leo No. 8 of Cohoes [Albany Co., NY]. At the time of his death, Mr. Rockwood was colonel of the Patriarchal military branch of the cantons of the state of New York. Two cousins survive. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from Odd Fellows' Temple, 81 Fourth Street, and burial will be in New Mount Ida cemetery. ROSE, Arthur P., Sr. - ROSE, Arthur P., Sr. - PITTSTOWN - Arthur P. Rose, Sr., 57, of Factory Hollow Road, died peacefully Saturday, September 9, 2000, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy following a long illness. Born [14 November 1942] in Tomhannock [Rensselaer Co NY] and a lifelong resident of Pittstown, Mr. Rose was a son of the late Irving A. and Harriet (JONES) ROSE and the husband of 33 years to Linda L. (BANKER) ROSE of Pittstown, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Rose were married July 23, 1967. Mrs. Rose was a graduate of Hoosic Valley High School, Class of 1964, and a veteran of the United States Army, serving stateside from 1964 to July of 1966. From 1967-1970 Mr. Rose was employed as a machinist at the Watervliet Arsenal, and for more than 19 years [he] was employed by the New York State Dept. of Transportation as a highway maintenance supervisor, working out of the Brunswick Substation. Mr. Rose retired in 1989. Mr. Rose was a member of the Pittstown United Methodist Church, Chairman of the Town of Pittstown Republican Committee, a 25-year member of the Pittstown Volunteer Fire Company, currently serving as treasurer and as captain and director of the Fire Police, and a leader of the Friendly Cottontails 4-H Club in Pittstown for more than 17 years. He was a member and president of the Rabbit Breeders and Fanciers of the Capital District, vice-president of the Adirondack Rabbit and Cavy Breeders of Saratoga, a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, a former member of the Pittstown Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, a past president and 10-year member of Brunswick Miss Softball, and a former member and past treasurer of the Hilltop Sunday Nighters Bowling League. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rose is survived by a son, Arthur P. ROSE, Jr., and a daughter, Tina ROSE-TURRIGLIO, both of Pittstown; three brothers, Melvyn ROSE, Sr. of Buskirk, Robert ROSE, Sr. of Millertown, and Ronald ROSE of MD; two sisters, Sharon SCRANTON of Middle Grove, NY and Karen MCGEE of Schaghticoke; and three grandchildren, Ellie Ray ROSE, Patrick TURRIGLIO III, and Andrew TURRIGLIO, all of Pittstown. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and was predeceased by a brother, the late Irving D. ROSE. ROSE, Darlene L. SANSONE. - SARATOGA SPRINGS - Darlene L. ROSE, 56, of Pyramid Pines Estates, died Thursday [27 December 2001] at Saratoga Hospital, after being stricken on Christmas Day. Born and raised in Rensselaer, she was born August 16, 1945, daughter of the late Anthony SANSONE and the late Lillian SNYDER; and [stepdaughter of the late] Dominick SPENZIERO. Mrs. Rose lived in Saranac Lake for over 30 years, before moving to Saratoga Springs in 1995. Mrs. Rose was a childcare specialist at Vanderhyden Hall of Rensselaer County for six years and had previously worked as transportation specialist at North Star Industries and Franklin County ARC, both of Saranac Lake. An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed dirt-track racing and collecting miniature elephants. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Harry A. ROSE; three sons, Randall (and Heidi RAMSEY) FAFARD of Ballston Spa, Andrew (and Stephanie) ROSE of Saranac Lake and Dominick FAFARD of Saratoga Springs; six grandchildren, Dominick, Capri and Ford FAFARD, Jacqulynn and Cassitty ROSE and Billy ALLEN. She was predeceased by brothers Frank, William and Millard SANSONE. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a. m. at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S. Main St., Mechanicville. ROSE, Gale A. BLAKELY - JOHNSONVILLE - Gale A. (BLAKELY) ROSE, 66, a lifelong resident of the Johnsonville area, died suddenly Thursday, July 9, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy [Rensselaer County, NY] after being stricken at her Clum Road residence. Born at her parents' Schaghticoke [Rensselaer County, NY] home December 2, 1942, Gale was a daughter of the late William J. BLAKELY Jr. and Etta Mae SALISBURY and the beloved wife and best friend for over 47 years of Robert E. ROSE Sr. of Johnsonville, who survives. Gale and Bob were married May 12, 1962. Gale attended Hoosic Valley High School. A wonderful homemaker for many years and a "stay-at-home mom," Gale enjoyed raising her children and assisting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took pride in running her home "the old-fashioned way" by being an excellent cook and baker, tending her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, and managing the affairs of her home. For over 20 years, she assisted her husband in the care and operation of the Millertown Cemetery. In her quiet time, she crocheted many beautiful afghans and throws and collected dolls. She was a lifelong member of Christ United Methodist Church in Johnsonville, taught Sunday school and assisted as custodian for many years. She was a member of the Hoosick Grange and the former Johnsonville Grange. In addition to her husband, Gale is survived by four children and their spouses, Robert E. ROSE Jr. and Donna of Johnsonville, Brian A. ROSE and Toni of Lynchburg, VA, Marcia A. PIAZZA and Dan of Colonie, and Pamela M. SKAARUP and John of Raymertown; a brother, William J. BLAKELY III of Johnsonville; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie DERBY and Russ of Valley Falls; eight cherished grandchildren, Christopher J. ROSE, Adam ROSE, Tiffany ROSE, Trevor ROSE, Ethan SKAARUP, Collin SKAARUP, Tressa MOQUIN, and David MOQUIN; and two angelic great-grandchildren, Christopher D. ROSE and Autumn M. WESTCOTT. Mrs. Rose, the wife of Irving A. ROSE, was born [12 June 1912] in Schaghticoke and had lived in the area all her life. She was a graduate of Schaghticoke schools and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Schaghticoke. For several years, Mr. and Mrs. Rose operated a greenhouse in Tomhannock, retiring a year ago. She is survived by her husband; five sons, Irving ROSE, Melvyn ROSE and Robert ROSE, all of Johnsonville, Staff Sgt. Ronald K. ROSE of the U. S. Marine Corps, stationed in California, and Arthur ROSE of Valley Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Richard LANNE of Jonesville and Mrs. Dwight MCGEE of Schaghticoke; by 22 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nell GRANT of Fort Edward and Mrs. Lorraine CARKNARD of Valley Falls; five brothers, Erven JONES of Crescent, Gordon JONES of Troy, Henry JONES of Schenectady, and Robert JONES and Frederick JONES of Schaghticoke. He was born in Schaghticoke, N. Y., on May 3, 1937, son of the late Harry and Eudora GOOLEY ROSE and husband of the late Darlene SANSONE ROSE, who died in 2001. Harry was a bus driver for Greyhound Bus Lines for over 25 years, stationed in Albany. Survivors include his sons, Andrew (Stephanie) ROSE of Saranac Lake and Randy (Heidi RAMSEY) FAFARD of Ballston Spa; sisters Irene JOHNSON of Mechanicville, Wilma MARHAFER of Scotia, Monica (Ed) MARTIN of Glenville and Helen DARROW of California; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. ROSE, Howard C. - Howard C. Rose - GREENFIELD - Howard C. ROSE, 85, of Saratoga Care Nursing Home, Saratoga Springs, formerly of Mechanicville [Saratoga County, NY], died Sunday, February 1, 2009 following a long illness. Born June 3, 1923 in Schaghticoke [Rensselaer County, NY], he was a son of Raymond ROSE and Margaret CLEVELAND and the husband of Mary C. MCNEIL, who died in 1991. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the 698th Quartermaster Remount Company in India from 1943 to 1946. Howard had been a roller operator for the Westvaco Paper Mill in Mechanicville, and when the mill closed, he went on to work as a maintenance man until his retirement. He was a fireman for the Hemstreet Park Fire Co. and a member of the VFW 6328. He was an avid animal lover, especially of horses. Because of his love of horses, he learned how to become a blacksmith, which he enjoyed very much. Survivors include two sons, James ROSE of Mechanicville and John ROSE (Janice) of Marietta, GA; a stepson, Michael MOLISKY (Barbara) of Easton; a daughter, Mary COOK of Greenfield, NY; and a sister, Martha MARINELLO of Mechanicville. Also survived by grandchildren Jason KUPIEC (Stacy), James COOK, Michael TAYLOR (Heather), Brian ROSE (Alexandra), Stephen ROSE, Ryan ROSE, Reed ROSE, and Zachary MOLISKY; and by great-grandchildren Aiden TAYLOR, Joseph KUPIEC, Emma KUPIEC, Olivia KUPIEC, Sarah KUPIEC, and Hayley ROSE; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rose was born [22 September 1907] in Tomhannock, son of the late DeWitt and Phoebe LOUX ROSE. He had resided in the area all of his life. He attended Tomhannock public schools and was a graduate of the Northwestern School of Taxidermy. Mr. Rose retired in 1968 as a machine operator with the James Thompson Mills in Valley Falls. He operated a greenhouse for many years. Mr. Rose was a member of the Tomhannock Methodist Church. Mr. Rose was the widower of Harriette JONES ROSE. Survivors include four sons, Ronald K. ROSE of Maryland, Melvyn D. ROSE of Buskirk, Robert E. ROSE of Johnsonville, and Arthur P. ROSE of Valley Falls; two daughters, Sharon LANNE of Middle Grove and Karen MCGEE of Schaghticoke; a brother, Donald ROSE of Florida; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. ROSE, Richard Hayden - Rose, Richard Hayden - MECHANICVILLE - Richard Hayden ROSE of Riverside died Sunday evening, April 5, 2009 after battling cancer for the past two years. He was 62. Born October 6, 1946 in Stony Point, NY, he was a son of the late Frederick ROSE, originally of Mechanicville, and Claire M. (POST) ROSE of Jersey City, NJ. Richard worked for 30 years for Bobrick, Inc. in Clifton Park [Saratoga County, NY]. He started as a packer on the floor and became division manager in charge of Bobrick's entire eastern division. He was a past commander of the Lt. Fred H. Clark Post #91 American Legion and was a charter member of the Mechanicville F. O. E., as well as belonging to the Italian Fraternal Society. Richard also served on the board of directors of the TCT Federal Credit Union. He was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan and enjoyed coin collecting, trout fishing, golfing and spending time in his garden. Born in Troy, she was a daughter of the late Edward ROUSE and Ruth (PAYNE) ROUSE and wife of the late George C. DERBYSHIRE. She had resided in Albany for 15 years and in North Greenbush since 1966 and was educated at Keene High School in Keene, NH, Class of 1944. Mrs. Derbyshire was a homemaker, caretaker and genealogist. She was a member of the Philip Schuyler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Troy, the National DAR and the Dutch Settlers Society in Albany. She is survived by her son, George M. DERBYSHIRE of Selkirk; her daughter, Sherry L. (David) MESSIER of Salem; her grandchildren, Rachel PARKER, Matthew DERBYSHIRE, George M. Born July 15, 1925, in Johnsonville [town of Pittstown, Rensselaer County, NY], she was a daughter of the late Frederick BRUNS and Lucy PEMRICK BRUNS. In addition to her employment outside her home earlier in her career, Florence was deeply devoted to her family, friends and church. She truly loved children, raising three generations and lovingly guiding a fourth, her four beloved great-grandchildren. She was a founding member, strong supporter and communicant of St. Therese's Chapel in Gansevoort. She enjoyed square dancing and was a valued member at several square-dancing organizations in the area for many years and loved her many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence RUSSELL, in 2007. Survivors include her son, Paul RUSSELL of Saratoga Springs; her daughter, Mary RUSSELL of Glenville; her stepdaughter, Barbara Jean LABRECQUE of Kankakee, IL; two sisters, Regina SPEANBURG of Johnsonville and Theresa PRATT of Easton; two brothers, Leo BRUNS of Latham and Fred BRUNS of Florida; one grandchild, Holly Marie ROBINSON; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Lanelle, Jessie and Iris BROWN; and several nieces and nephews. Florence deeply cared about others and strongly supported numerous charities throughout her life. Mrs. Lesson was born in Schaghticoke [4 May 1905], daughter of the late Michael and Mary Ellen MCGOWAN RYAN. She was educated in Schaghticoke schools and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. Mrs. Lesson was at one time employed at the Kresge Company in Troy. Later she worked for the American Optical Company in Latham and retired as office manager in 1969. Mrs. Lesson was a communicant of St. John's Church. She was the widow of Edward LESSON. Survivors include a sister, Florence FILKIN of Oneonta [Otsego County, NY], and a brother, Edward RYAN of Melrose. Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 11 from the Mason Funeral Home, Lansingburgh, and from St. John's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was offered. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke. Contributions in Mrs. Lesson's memory may be made to the Hoosic Valley Rescue Squad.
