Jim writes that each record includes the name of the groom, the name of the bride, the place of residence of the husband, the place of residence of the wife, the name of the officer or clergyman performing the marriage ceremony, the place of residence of that celebrant, the age of the husband, the age of the wife, and the date of the marriage. "It needs to be noted that the title of the original manuscripts states that this is a record of marriages that occurred in the year ending December 31, 1854, that is, from January 1, 1854 to December 31, 1854," Jim writes. "However, all of the marriages are dated in 1853. Therefore, the year of the marriage event may be either 1853 or 1854, and another source would have to be checked to verify the year of these ceremonies."
