Rensselaer County
Korean War casualties

Information on this page is from the National Archives and Records Administration. Listed here are US military personnel from Rensselaer County who died from hostile action (including missing and captured) in the Korean War during the period 1950-1957. (The Korean War is conventionally defined as beginning in June 1950, when North Korea invaded South Korea, and as ending in July 1953, when a truce was signed at Panmunjom. However, at the time of this "official" end of hostilities, both sides held many prisoners of war, and many soldiers were unaccounted for.)
