Rensselaer Co NY Deed Book 65 pages 226-227, dated 28 Nov 1843, filed 21 May 1846: David PHILLIPS [Sr] of Greenbush, grantor; to Joseph PHILLIPS, grantee; for $2,300; 142.4 acres in the Manor of Rensselaerwyck on the east side of the Hudson River; the land had originally been leased by Stephen VAN RENSSELAER Esq Lord & Proprietor of the Manor of Rensselaerwyck to Philip WENDELL on 24 September 1804; Philip WENDELL had devised it in his will to his sons Abraham, Philip & David [WENDELL]; one Mathew R. VAN DENBURGH had acquired David WENDELL's share; and Abraham WENDELL, Philip WENDELL [Jr] and Mathew R. VAN DENBURGH had conveyed the land on 19 April 1816 to David PHILLIPS.
