Steven M. Wiezbicki is writing a history of the 169th Infantry Regiment New York State Volunteers and their service during the American Civil War of 1861-1865. As many of you already know, large numbers of Rensselaer County residents served in this regiment. Steven has kindly contributed to this GenWeb site the following information from the complete Register of the 169th. It lists both officers and enlisted men and is the most detailed version of the 169th available on this Rensselaer County GenWeb site. For information about his history of this regiment, you may contact Steven by email at smw700@hotmail.com.
