Welcome to the Rensselaer Co., NYGenWeb! I am your county coordinator, Debby Masterson. Please understand that I only have information about my own ancestry. If the information you seek is not on this website I will try to suggest alternate places to look, but that is all I can do. I live in Florida and do not have access to sources in Rensselaer County. There are professional researchers familiar with county resources that will be glad to assist you for a fee.

PLEASE NOTE: If you find a link that doesn't work, or you email someone and your mail bounces, please email me and let me know so I can address the problem. Thanks!

In Memory

Linda Jeane Van Buren
August 30, 1946 - March 12, 2013

Lin was the Rensselaer Co. Coordinator from 2002 to 2013. It is largely because of her love of genealogy and dedication to this website that the Rensselaer Co. GenWeb is one of the best websites at GenWeb. She will be missed, but never forgotten by the numerous people from all over the world that she has helped find their ancestors.
