Edward Nelson Barnes. 18 years old. Enlisted 8/11/1862 at Brunswick, NY to serve three years. Mustered in as private, Co. "H", 125th NY Infantry 8/27/1862. Surrendered 9/15/1862 and paroled 9/16/1862 at Harper's Ferry, VA. Wounded in action 5/12/1861 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA. Promoted corporal prior to 12/1864. Mustered out with company 6/5/1865 near Alexandria, VA. Source: New York: Report of the Adjutant-General.
